Not Just Another Overdrive

Let's face it, we're tired of pedal swapping. With all of the pedals on the market today, we've been scratching our heads at why we couldn't keep a single overdrive on our boards. After going through thousands of feet of velcro, we decided enough was enough and set out to build what we needed ourselves.

Meet The Gritty Britt

Using special FET amplification stages, the circuit is true to JCM800/2203 topology. No op-amps in this one. The FET stages are high impedance and our use of film coupling caps improve tone greatly over that of electrolytic coupling caps we typically see in most pedals. The tone controls are not just for show, they work just as they would on the classic 2203 circuit. Of course, it wouldn’t be true to the classic design unless it had an output transformer.
We've gone to great lengths to ensure our design, parts, and craftsmanship will stand the test of time and serve as the last overdrive you'll ever need. From rock to country, from stage to studio - The Gritty Brit has you covered.
